My high-powered lawyer sister was recently shopping for a mascara-removal solution that doesn't take a lot of effort and doesn't leave a lot of residue (you know, when you wake up looking like you slept with a rock star). I told her that I rely on good 'ol Pond's Cold Cream to clean my face - why mess with something that's been working for women since 1914? It's so easy: you just smear it on and use a tissue or damp washcloth to wipe away dirt and makeup. Plus, your face feels great without the need for a moisturizer. And it's really inexpensive. Looking unconvinced, I think she bought some just to avoid hurting my feelings. But I have been validated! A week later, she called to tell me she loves it and she's so happy with how easy it is.
